The Compatriot
is a mature man or woman with an extensive management and executive
record of experience in his or her chosen field. This industry
experience will have been gathered in a range of roles in a number of
organisations, both large and small. Common attributes are:
- Of mature age
- Senior Management and/or Board Experience
- Is generally overqualified for the assignment
- Financially independent, so not reliant on a regular pay cheque
- Has a hands-on approach to problem solving
- Is not focussed on titles - Does what needs to be done
- Is a good trainer and mentor; imparting skills and knowledge to others
- Is self-employed, so is truly independent
- Is available at short notice, on a part time or a full time basis

a purely opt-in basis. When GreyHair receives a role all of the relevant Compatriots
will receive an email outlining the requirements.

are so low and why we need to encourage you to help us find placements for the
Compatriots.
Your network of colleagues and
business contacts is a very valuable resource. In the business world many
people make a good living out of ‘knowing people’; these include Resourcers,
Lobbyists, gossip columnists and others. GreyHair wants you to simply be aware
of the value of your contacts and identify where GreyHair may provide service.
Here’s how it works. As you
interact with others in your network, you are constantly alert to opportunities
for yourself. Our Co-Op concept is to simply expand that to also be alert for
opportunities that would suit a fellow Compatriot.
How the GreyHair referral system
works

Here’s an example
scenario: say a Compatriot, a CFO-level accountant, is talking to a CEO
colleague who states he is looking for a senior HR professional for a three
day-a-week role. The Compatriot recommends GreyHair as a suitable source and
offers to have GreyHair contact the CEO. GreyHair does so and places the
perfect Compatriot in the role.

When a Compatriot
introduces GreyHair to a new placement opportunity which results in a placement, s/he will receive a
